Located at Urban Surf, the heart of the “Lake St. Clair Lifestyle”, Sketch is a space for all levels to learn, inspire and create the art and craft of pottery. Sketch exists to encourage the creative spirit.
Sketch offers pottery wheels, pottery painting, hand building, summer camps, workshops, private bookings, birthdays, and more!
Sketch was born in the off-season at Urban Surf by co-owners Danielle Chevalier and Chris Mingay.
Danielle has always made a career out of sharing her passions with others. Her evolution goes from Chef (Banff + Hilton Hotels), Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor (AXFIT), Online Personality (@AXFIT YouTube + MY.TV.FIT), Paddler, Surfer (Urban Surf), and now Potter at Sketch. Chris’s passion is for another type of art; the art of creating unique spaces and guests experience. As Danielle lives out her passions Chris is building a way to share them with the world.

THE SPACE
Sketch operates year around at Urban Surf on beautiful Pike Creek/Lake St. Clair. Highlights include our eeclectic outdoor patio, indoor “surf shop” studio, Fire pits, and heated Greenhouses. This is just the start for Sketch…hopefully every time you visit you’ll notice something new.
